Scope and Parties

These Terms of Use govern how visitors, members and customers may use the website operated by [Company Name] (“Zuzu Rent A Car”, “we” or “us”). We are based at [Address] and registered under number [MERSIS No]. The site exists to present our car hire services in Trabzon and Istanbul, take online bookings, process payments and give members a simple way to manage their account.

These terms cover your use of the website only. The rental agreement you sign when you collect the car contains the detailed provisions on insurance cover, damage excess, deposit, fuel and mileage. Where the two documents differ on a matter relating to the rental itself, the rental agreement prevails. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies in Cookie Preferences; both should be read alongside these terms.

Membership and Account Security

Creating an account

You do not need an account to book; you can check out as a guest. Members can see all their bookings in one place, keep their contact details on file and complete future bookings more quickly. You are responsible for making sure the name, email address, phone number and other details you give us are accurate, complete and up to date. We may suspend or close, without prior notice, any account opened with false details or in someone else’s name.

Keeping your account safe

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Please do not share it, do not reuse a password you use elsewhere, and remember to sign out on shared devices. If you notice any activity on your account that you did not authorise, let us know straight away at [email protected]. Actions taken through your account will be treated as yours unless shown otherwise.

• Each person may open an account in their own name only.
• You can ask us to close your account at any time; any confirmed booking will not be affected by the closure.
• Accounts used in breach of these terms may be restricted or closed.

When Your Booking Is Confirmed

A request you create by choosing a car, dates, times and a pick-up point becomes a confirmed booking once payment has gone through and we have sent you a confirmation email. The email shows your booking reference, car category, pick-up and return locations and the amount paid. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder or contact us at [email protected].

Every booking is subject to the driver requirements being met at collection. Economy cars require drivers aged 21 or over who have held a licence for at least one year; all other categories require drivers aged 23 or over with at least two years’ driving experience. Additional drivers must meet the same requirements. At the desk you will need a Turkish ID card (or a passport for international guests), a valid driving licence and a credit card in the main driver’s name. If these conditions are not met, we cannot release the car and the cancellation terms will apply.

• Cancel up to 48 hours before your pick-up time for a full refund.
• For later cancellations, or if the car is not collected, a charge equal to one day’s rental may be deducted.
• Changes to dates or car are subject to availability, and any price difference will be confirmed with you beforehand.

Prices, Availability and Vehicle Information

Prices and availability shown on the site can change at any time depending on dates, season, rental length and demand. The price that applies to your booking is the one shown at the payment step and repeated in your confirmation email; general price changes made after your booking is confirmed will not affect it. Charges for a one-way rental (returning the car to a different location) and for extras such as an additional driver, baby or child seat, sat nav, mini damage cover, tyre, glass and headlight cover or a motorway toll (HGS) package are shown separately during booking.

The models shown on each car page represent a category and are offered “or similar”, so you may receive an equivalent car from the same category. The daily mileage allowance and the deposit amount are listed on each car’s page. If a clearly incorrect price or detail is published because of a technical error, we reserve the right to contact you and either correct the booking or cancel it with a full refund.

Payment and Card Security

Online payments are taken by credit or debit card with 3D Secure verification. Payments are processed through the infrastructure of a licensed payment institution, and your card details are never stored on our website. No one at Zuzu Rent A Car will ever ask for your card PIN or verification code.

At the start of the rental, a deposit — which varies by car category — is held on your credit card as a pre-authorisation. This is not a charge, and it is released once the car has been returned. Under the rental agreement, items such as the damage excess, missing fuel, excess mileage, traffic fines or bridge and motorway tolls may be settled from this hold. Refunds are always made to the card used for payment, and the time it takes for the money to appear depends on your bank.

Intellectual Property

All content on the site — including text, logos, brand elements, photographs, graphics, page design, software and databases — belongs to Zuzu Rent A Car or to rights holders who have licensed it to us, and is protected under the intellectual property legislation in force. Car model names and manufacturers’ trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used solely to describe the vehicles.

You may view and print site content for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as making a booking or finding information. Otherwise, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, sell or create derivative works from any content without our written permission. Linking to the site is fine, but framing it or implying an official partnership with Zuzu Rent A Car requires our prior consent.

Prohibited Use

You may use the site only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. Anything that could compromise the security or running of the site, or spoil it for other users, is not allowed. The following are just some examples:

• Booking or registering with another person’s identity, licence or card details.
• Making fake, misleading or speculative bookings that block availability for other customers.
• Accessing the site with automated tools such as bots, crawlers or scraping software without permission, or harvesting price and content data in bulk.
• Trying to bypass security measures, overload our servers or spread malicious software.
• Using the site for unlawful activity, fraud or anything that infringes the rights of others.

If we detect such use, we reserve the right to cancel the booking concerned, close the account and, where necessary, inform the relevant authorities.

Limitation of Liability

We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate, up to date and available, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Access may occasionally be limited because of maintenance, updates, internet outages or other technical issues beyond our control. Confirmed bookings remain valid during any such disruption.

To the extent permitted by the legislation in force, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from the site being unavailable, from problems with your own device or internet connection, or from incorrect information you have provided. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Responsibilities relating to the use of the car during the rental, along with insurance cover and excess, are set out in the rental agreement; traffic fines and bridge or motorway tolls are the renter’s responsibility, and the car may not be taken outside Turkey without our written consent.

Third-Party Links

The site may link to pages run by third parties, such as the payment page, map and directions services, our social media accounts or other useful resources. These links are for convenience only; we have no control over the content, security, privacy practices or terms of third-party sites and cannot accept responsibility for them.

Once you follow a link, that site’s own terms and privacy policy apply. When you are redirected to make a payment, check that the address bar shows a secure connection; if anything looks suspicious, stop and let us know at [email protected].

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes to our services, the way the site works or the legislation in force. The current version will always be published on this page, with the “last updated” date at the top revised accordingly. Where changes are significant, we will also try to tell members by email.

Changes take effect for new use of the site from the moment they are published. Bookings already confirmed remain subject to the terms in force on the date they were made. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use, and any relationship arising from your use of the site, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. If a dispute arises, our first aim is to resolve it quickly and in good faith by talking to you directly, so please write to us at [email protected] in the first instance.

If we cannot reach an agreement, [Competent Court] will have jurisdiction. Users acting as consumers retain the right, under the legislation in force, to apply to consumer arbitration committees within the applicable monetary thresholds, and to consumer courts for disputes above those thresholds. For matters relating to distance selling, the Distance Contracts Regulation and related consumer legislation are taken into account.
